'Tis the Season for Elves
Today's Morning Buzz featured an auction to raise money for The ELF Fund, and brought in $380. The prize package included tickets to the premier of "Unstoppble," a meal at The Option House, a private meeting with actor Lew Temple, and a photograph of the meeting by Long Art Photography.
While the ELF Fund folks were at the radio station, Chairman Ed Hayden talked to Scott Douglas about just a few of this year's applicants.

The Festival of Trees Annual Auction had a remarkable item awarded on WESB/WBRR Morning Buzz with Scott Douglas on Tuesday, November 9.
Connie Malone was the winning bidder of the Unstoppable Movie/Dinner package for the Festival of Trees. Her winning prize is comprised of dinner for four at the Option House, four tickets to the premier showing of Unstoppable (as provided from The Movie House / Jim Guelfi), an exclusive meet and greet with Lew Temple in the Peacock Parlors, and a professional photograph (from Long Art Photography Company / Francie Long).
Sam Sylvester – Owner of the Option House, Ed Hayden – 2010 Chairperson for the ELF Fund, Christine Minich – Festival of Trees Chairperson, were on the air promoting this exclusive package to include the premier showing of Unstoppable for the weekend of November 12. Scott Douglas facilitated the first annual live auction on WESB/WBRR, while Marlene Ackley managed the multitude of callers.
All proceeds from Tuesday’s auction will go directly to benefit the ELF Fund. Malone is fortunate to have received such a unique package. In addition, to dinner, movie, and exclusive meet and greet with Mr. Temple, she is also helping to provide for one family of five this Christmas season.
The full holiday affair, the annual Festival of Trees, will be held on Thursday, November 18 beginning at 6:00p at the Bradford Club. The auction is open to the public.
