Man Hurt in West Washington Crash

A Corydon Township man was hurt in an accident Wednesday afternoon on West Washington Street near the Marilla Reservoir.

Police say a vehicle driven by 80-year-old James Smith went out of control on the snowy road, crossed the road and rolled onto its side.

Personnel from the Bradford Township Volunteer Fire Department extricated Smith through the windshield of the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to BRMC for treatment of neck and back pain.

Traffic was blocked for about half an hour. No charges have been filed.
