Thomas Haggie Sentenced

Thomas Haggie has been sentenced to two life terms in prison without the possibility of parole for killing Megan Konopka and her unborn son in September of 2009.

The 31-year-old pleaded guilty last month in exchange for having the death penalty taken off the table.

His co-defendant, Greggory Theobald, received the same sentence in July and is serving his time at the state correctional institution at Fayette.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
