Train Hits, Kills Truck Driver
A Texas truck driver is dead after he tried to beat a speeding train Wednesday morning in Dunkirk.
Police say 51-year-old Randolph Todd Texas, ignored the lowered crossing gates when trying to get across the tracks. The force of the collision with a passenger train killed him and split the tractor-trailer in two.
None of the nearly 250 people aboard the train was hurt. It was headed from Chicago to Rochester and was delaed for more than two hours.
