Court Rules Against Seneca Nation
The New York State Supreme Court has ruled against the Seneca Nation of Indians, which means the state can start collecting taxes on cigarette sales to non-Indians.
A lower court ruled last month that the state could start the collection, but the next day another court put an injunction in place barring the collection.
Neither the state nor the nation has made a comment yet.
