Artist Removes Sandusky from Mural

An artist from Emporium has removed Jerry Sandusky from a mural he painted in State College about 11 years ago.

Every year Michael Pilato adds people who inspire him and one of those was Sandusky for his work with The Second Mile and his impact on Penn State football.

Sandusky was accused in a grant jury presentment last week of multiple counts of sexually abusing children.

The Cameron County Chamber of Commerce & Artisan Center says Sandusky has been replaced on the mural with a chair and a teal ribbon. Teal is the color for survivors of sexual assault.

If Jerry Sandusky is acquitted of the charges he has been accused - but not yet convicted - of, I wonder if Mr Pilato will draw him back in.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
