'Col. Pottter' Has Passed Away

Emmy-winning character actor Harry Morgan, possibly best-known as Col. Potter on television's "M*A*S*H," has died.

He was 96.

He died in his California home in Brentwood after suffering from pneumonia.

Before M*A*S*H Morgan appear on several TV shows, including "Dragnet," where he played Sgt. Joe Friday's partner in later episodes.

He earned an Emmy for his portrayal of Col. Sherman Potter on CBS-TV's long-running series.

A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child. Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
