Injuries to Toddler Prompt Investigation
A Titusville girl is hospitalized with serious injuries after allegedly falling out of her crib, but police are investigating the incident.
They say the 3-year-old was taken to Titusville Area Hospital Wednesday afternoon with a fractured skull. After testing, hospital personnel learned the toddler also had bleeding in her brain and behind her eyes, bruising on her legs, buttocks, abdomen, back, sides and upper lip, and an old fracture that had healed.
She was taken to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for further treatment.
