Betty Steinhauser

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Steinhauser, 73, of 618 W. Washington St. Bradford. passed away Tuesday, January 17th, 2012 at The Pavilion at BRMC surrounded by her loving family.

Born February 1, 1938, in Ellicottville, NY she was a daughter of Sylvester and Regina (Markowitz) Guy.

On March 26, 1960, in Ellicottville, NY, she married Carl L. Steinhauser Jr. who died on September 19, 2011.

Mrs. Steinhauser was a 1956 graduate of Ellicottville High School. She moved from Ellicottville to Bradford to work at First Federal Saving and Loan Company, then she worked as an accountant at S.K & Tate Furs and later as a desk clerk at the DeSoto Holiday House.

She enjoyed going to auctions and looking for antiques and she collected Hummel Figurines. She formerly attended Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church.

Surviving are three children; one daughter, Anna T. (Jim) Lombardo of Bradford; two sons Michael Steinhauser and Carl L. (Dody) Steinhauser III all of Bradford; four grandchildren: Shawna Wolfgang, James V. Lombardo II, Blair Comes, and Ricky Barrett. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 21, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00am in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00am with Rev. Raymond Gramatta, pastor, of St. Bernard Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
