Ruth Feura

Ruth L. Feura, 81, of 88 Fairview Heights, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 16th, 2012 at The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born August 26, 1930, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late James M. and Gertrude (Orton) Burns.

On October 15, 1955 at St Bernard Church in Bradford, she married Raymond F. Feura who survives.

Mrs. Feura was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School. She received her Registered Nurses Degree from Millard Filmore School of Nursing in 1952 and also attended the University of Buffalo. In 1989 she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford Campus with a degree in Gerontology.

Mrs. Feura had worked at the Bradford Hospital, Warren Dental Arts and then back to the Bradford Hospital and helped develop the Stress Lab.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church .

In addition to her husband of 56 years she is survived by one daughter, Robyn (Ted) Hardy of Bradford; three sons Rand (Carol) Feura of Santee CA; Richard (Cindy) Feura of Manassas VA, and Roger (Beth) Feura of Bradford; two sisters, Lois Burns Wolfe of Gastonia NC, and Jean Burns Collins of Auburn CA; nine grandchildren; Ryan Feura, Rachele Feura, Keith Feura, Nathan Feura, Allison Hardy, Jonathan Hardy, Jared Feura, Adam Feura and Evan Feura, four great grandchildren; Leiana Granados, Ronin Tomeldan, Sebastian Feura and Benjamin Feura and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Violet Burns Shultz and Rose Burns Kalupson.

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, January 19, 2012, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main St.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am on Friday January 20th at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with Rev. Stephen Collins, pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
