Wind Warning, Advisory Later Today
High wind advisories and warnings will be in effect later today in the entire region.
In Pennsylvania, the advisory is from 7 o’clock tonight until 6 o’clock tomorrow morning and wind gusts could be up to 50 miles an hour.
In New York, the warning is from 5 o’clock this afternoon until 10 o’clock tomorrow morning. The National Weather Service says wind gusts could be up to 60 miles an hour.
Winds this strong can cause property damage. Motorists in high profile vehicles should use caution until the wind subsides.
There’s also a Lake Effect Snow watch in Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties through tomorrow afternoon, and more than a foot of snow could fall in some areas.
