A Couple Hundred Still Without Power


SPE Group of Port Huron, Michigan, still has its command center set up at the Bradford Mall as their crews, along with several other companies, help Penelec/First Engery crews restore power in McKean County following Thursday's storm.

As of just before 3 p.m. only a handful of customers -- with the exception of Liberty Township -- are still waiting for their power to be restored. Liberty Township has 211 cusomters without power. Only 12 of those are in Port Allegany.

Penelec hopes to have all power restored this evening.

Attorney General Kelly announces arrests in "Operation Border Bargains;" 19 charged in Ohio to PA meth lab & pill-shopping investigation ERIE - Agents from the Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, along with officers from local police departments across Erie County, are in the process of arresting 19 Pennsylvania and Ohio residents allegedly involved in two separate interstate methamphetamine production and pill-shopping networks. PwC Grant to Support Career Mentoring

A grant from the global professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers is supporting a new career mentoring program designed to recruit and retain minority accounting students in St. Bonaventure University’s School of Business. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) representatives were on campus recently for a presentation to all accounting majors on career readiness strategies, and to recognize three freshmen who have been chosen as the program’s inaugural participants: Thomas Green of Rochester, Dominic Greene of the Bronx, and Michael Marin of East Elmhurst, N.Y. The PwC grant was awarded to Dr. Susan Anders, professor of accounting at St. Bonaventure and chair of its Accounting Department, and Dr. Carol M. Fischer, professor of accounting and associate dean of business, to support their Accounting Scholars Program.
