Men Accused of Stealing Engines
Two men are accused of stealing a couple of engines from Clarendon.
Police say 35-year-old Burdette Thomas of Sheffield, and a 40-year-old man they have not named yet, took the engines to Jamestown and sold them as scrap for $150.
Thomas is charged with theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit theft. He is free on his own recognizance and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 22.
