Olean Woman Allegedly Stole $62,000

An Olean woman is accused of stealing more than $62,000 by using credit cards that did not belong to her.

36-year-old Amy Buchanan allegedly used the Olean Family Health Center credit card between December of 2011 and January of this year to rack up about $36,000 worth sales. From November of 2011 to mid-March of this year she allegedly stole nearly $26,000 from Zia Sheikh by using his credit card for her personal use.

Sheriff’s deputies believe she also had three forged prescriptions that she used to defraud Rite Aid in Olean from December 23 to January 6.

She was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument, and then released on her own recognizance.
