Motorcycle Collides with Tractor-Trailer

Only minor injuries were reported following a head-on crash between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer Wednesday night on Route 76 in Ripley.

The crash happened at just before 7:30 when the motorcycle operated by 26-year-old Aaron Craig of North East went out of control and hit the tractor-trailer. Craig was thrown from the bike but suffered only road rash injuries and was treated at the scene.

The tractor-trailer driver, 58-year-old Charles Hall of Warren, was not hurt.
Sheriff’s deputies cited Craig for driving at an unsafe speed and failure to keep right.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
