Celoron Man Dies in Crash

A Ceoeron man is dead after a crash on Route 60 in Gerry just north of Cassadaga Valley Central School.

Sheriff’s deputies say a vehicle driven by 87-year-old James Bush crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Sarah Ficarro of Owego at around 3:30 Sunday afternoon.

An investigation determined that Bush suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash, which caused the car to cross the center line.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
