Driver in Fatal Crash
Gives Statement to Authorities
The Chautauqua County man who was driving a car involved in a fatal car crash Thursday morning has given a statement to authorities.
Jeremiah Burgess of Silver creek appeared with his attorney in the district attorney’s office this afternoon and provided a statement to the DA and the sheriff’s office.
The investigation is continuing, and charges are pending the completion of the investigation, which includes the autopsy and toxicology reports from the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office.
22-year-old Jeremy Long of Silver Creek was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in the Town of Hanover.
