Man Sentenced on Drug, Weapons Charges

An Allegany man will spend up to six years in prison on drug and weapons charges.

29-year-old Carstarphan Thomas was in possession of stolen guns on June 25, 2011, in Olean. He had previously been convicted of a crime that prohibits him from having guns. He was sentenced to two years in prison on that charge.

On May 16 of this year, in Allegany, he sold a controlled substance. He was sentenced to two to four years in prison on that charge. The sentences are to be served consecutively.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Cops: Man Had Sex with 13-Year-Old

A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
