Re-Elected to UAHS Board

OLEAN, NY- Olean General Hospital and Bradford Regional Medical Center re-elected six current board members to new three-year terms of office at the organizations’ annual meeting on January 30, 2013. The six board members will also serve three-year terms as board members of Upper Allegheny Health System (UAHS), parent company of the two hospitals.

The re-appointed board members include: Daniel McCune, president and CEO of Allegheny Bradford Corporation ; Muhammed Javed, MD, Physician, Bradford Regional Medical Center & Olean General Hospital; Jill Owens, MD, Physician, Bradford Regional Medical Center; Lynda Quick, Assistant Superintendent, Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES; David Prince, President and CEO, Databranch and Jeannine T. Schoenecker, President and Chief Operating Officer,

American Refining Group. Mr. McCune remains Chairman of the Board for both hospitals and UAHS, while Dr. Javed remains Board Secretary for all three organizations. Board members may serve a maximum of three, three-year terms.

Upper Allegheny Health System is the parent company of Bradford Regional Medical Center and Olean General Hospital. An integration of two prominent community hospitals in Southwestern New York State and Northwestern Pennsylvania; Upper Allegheny Health System’s goal is the enhancement of each hospital’s mission of care and service to their respective communities with the common goal of improving care, enhancing clinical programs and providing best-in-class service for various health needs.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Cops: Man Had Sex with 13-Year-Old

A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
