NYSP: Man Violently Attacked Girlfriend
A Collins, New York, man is accused of violently attacking his girlfriend.
State police say 19-year-old Davin Lay confronted the woman Tuesday morning after she spent the night at a friend’s houose. He allegedly chased her into a bedroom, pushed her to the ground, grabbed her around the throat, held her down and yelled at her. He then allegedly picked her up and shook her, dragged her into another room and threw her against a wall.
The victim was able to get away, and went to the Seneca Nation of Indians Marshals office, where she reported the assault. She was treated for her injuries at Lake Shore Hospital, then released.
Lay was charged with assault, menacing and criminal obstruction of breathing. He was released to a family member and is due back in court next month.
