Joyce Yohe

Joyce L. Yohe, 80, a loving mother and grandmother, of 1045 W. Washington St. Bradford, passed away, Thursday, February 28, 2013.

Born on October 29, 1932, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Harry C. and Muriel G. (Brown) Rupert.

On October 16, 1953, in Allegany NY, she married Clair Roland Yohe who died July 31, 1998.

She was a 1950 graduate of Bradford High School and a 1953 graduate of the Bradford Hospital School of Nursing, the last Class to graduate. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital for two years then Bradford Regional Medical Center for 40 years retiring in 1996.

She loved traveling to see the country, spending time with her family, camping and fishing. She loved going for drives with her husband and dog Tilly.

Surviving is one daughter, Jacqueline M. Haskins-Adams and her husband Kit, three sons; Brian Yohe and his wife Cruz, Lawrence Yohe and his wife Joan, and Patrick Yohe and his girlfriend Lynn all of Bradford, ten grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers; Darrell, Donald and Charles Rupert.

Family will be receiving friends on Sunday March 3, 2013 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 E. Main St., Bradford, where funeral and committal services will be held on Monday at 10:00am with Rev. Mike MacAvoy pastor of the Open Arms Church and Rev. Robert Klouw, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church co-officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
