Couple's Hearings on Drug Charges Continued

The preliminary hearings for the Bradford couple who told police they turned to drug dealing to make ends meet have been continued.

42-year-old Michael Byerly and 40-year-old Susan Byerly were scheduled for hearings for today in Central Court, but those hearings have been moved to March 21.

The Byerlys were arrested on drug charges after a search of their Burnside Avenue home turned up cocaine and marijuana packaged for sale, as well as a number of weapons, including an AK-47 style assault rifle.

At the time of her arrest, Susan Byerly told police she and her husband were unemployed and turned to drug dealing to supplement their income.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Cops: Man Had Sex with 13-Year-Old

A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
