Former City Firefighter Hurt in Indiana

Former City of Bradford firefighter Matt Ervin was hurt when a slab of ice flew off a pickup truck and slammed into the fire truck he was driving.

The incident happened at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning in Wayne Township, Indiana, when the ice hit the windshield of the fire truck, and the windshield hit him in the forehead. Ervin was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

He was able to bring the fire truck to a stop safely, and none of the other firefighters was hurt.
