Man Allegedly Tried to Choke Police Dog

A Jamestown man is jail after allegedly trying to choke a police dog during a chase last night in the city.

Police say at around 10:15 they stopped a vehicle driven by Curtis Nance Jr. and learned he was driving on a revoked license. During the stop they also saw drugs in the center console. When they asked Nance to get out of the vehicle he started fighting with officers, and then ran away. They caught up with him, and he continued to fight, so they let their K9 officer loose. The dog took Nance to the ground, and that’s when he tried to choke the dog.

Police then used a Taser on Nance and were able to take him into custody. He was first taken to WCA Hospital for treatment of injuries from the Taser and the dog.

He’s facing a number of charges including assault, criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
