Candice Mellott

Candice Ann Mellott was called to rest in Monongahela, PA on September 19, 2013, due to natural causes.

She was born on July 6, 1956, the daughter of the late Roy and Janice Eckstine Hamilton.

She spent her adult life working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved her family dearly and cherished her grandchildren. She was always looking out for others before herself. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting anything to do with pigs.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher McKenny, Portland, OR, Joseph Martin, Camp Hill, PA, three daughters, Leia McKenny, Ft. Hood, TX, Darlanna Martin, Danielle (Chad) Baker, both of Bradford, seven granddaughters and seven grandsons.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one son, Daniel J. Martin, Jr.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation. Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Cops: Man Had Sex with 13-Year-Old

A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
