Pittsburgh-Area Police Chief Charged in
Video Gambling Ring
A Pittsburgh area city councilman, a police chief and 14 other people are facing charges in connection to a video gambling ring around McKeesport.
The state attorney general’s office says police seized more than 300 video gambling machines from about 70 locations, along with about $1 million, during the months-long investigation.
Forward Township Police Chief Mark Holtzman is one of the people charged. Attorney General Kathleen Kane says he was not the chief at the time he was allegedly involved in the gambling ring.
McKeesport Councilman Daniel Carr is also facing charges.
