Drug Task Force Rounds Up Suspects

The McKean County Drug Task Force ended the year by rounding up about a dozen suspected drug dealers.

Nine people were arraigned today by District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. They are Kelly Hess, Franklin Howard, Steven Skaggs, Alex Ita, Kevin Armstrong, William Roggenbaum Sr., Jeremy Bowen and Angel Fenton, all of Bradford, and Matthew Howard of Lewis Run.

Armstrong, Roggenbaum, Bowen and Fenton are also charged with conspiracy and criminal use of a communication facility. Ita is also charged with criminal use of a communication facility. Matthew Howard is also charged with conspiracy.

Brandi Meacham of Crosby and Travis Smithmyer of Port Allegany were arraigned today by District Judge Bill Todd on charges of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility and conspiracy.

The alleged incidents happened between April and earlier this month.

McKean County District Attorney Ray Learn says he will issue a news release this evening.
