Fatal Crash Near Tack's Inn

An Ohio man is dead following a crash with a tractor-trailer at 4 o’clock this morning on Route 219 about half a mile from Route 59.

Police say 48-year-old David Scott of Jewett, Ohio, was traveling south when his car crossed the center line and hit a tractor-trailer driven by 52-year-old Denver Wellman of New Bremen, Ohio.

McKean County Coroner Mike Cahill pronounced Scott dead at the scene. Scott’s passenger, 37-year-old Darnell Coram, also of Jewett, was flown to UPMC Hamot, where he is being treated for moderate injuries. Wellman was not hurt.

The road was closed for about 4 ½ hours.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
