Police Ask for Search Warrant Regarding Sosic;
Admitting Privileges Suspended at BRMC
Because of the allegations BRMC has suspended Sosic’s admitting privileges, effective immediately, pending the outcome of the investigation.
City police have also requested a search warrant for the hospital.
In an affidavit of probable cause asking for the search warrant, police say they “believe there exists enough evidence to show that there are documents and records located at Bradford Regional Medical Center which will show a common plan or scheme. ... this documentation will provide further evidence showing a pattern of Sosic’s misconduct while working at Bradford Regional Medical Center.”
The allegations, which date back to 2008, first came to light on Wednesday when police filed misdemeanor charges of indecent assault and harassment against Sosic in connection to an alleged incident on January 27.
He is accused of inappropriately touching a physicians assistant intern in the break room of his Boylston Street office. The affidavit says that after he touched her inappropriately she told him “no” numerous times, but he continued touching her. He then make sexually graphic comments to her and said he wanted to do an examination on her.
After she left the room, the affidavit says, he followed her, continued touching her. She left and called her college advisor, who told her to discontinue her clinical rotation with him immediately. Sosic called her later, attempting to apologize, but she did not take the call.
Earlier today, charges were filed in connection to a June 2012 incident in which he is accused of inappropriately touching a patient while she was in his office for an ultrasound. She described a hug as being “an uncomfortable long time” and said as she began to pull away he tried to kiss her, according to the affidavit.
After she told him “no” multiple times as he was inappropriately touching her he “backed off” and then told her “he liked her and thought she was pretty and she was a good mom and a good patient,” the affidavit says. He then asked that she “keep this between them.”
In May of 2008 a co-worker of Sosic’s at BRMC said that working in the operating room he had been making “off color comments” for a few weeks and then had started touching her inappropriately. He also allegedly told her to come to his office at 8 p.m. after it was closed.
She immediately reported the incident to supervisors at BRMC, but says she quit her job because of these incidents.

Also does anyone else find it disturbing that the court police would sit on a report made a year and a half ago? Was it because the woman was a Healthy Beginnings patient (eg low income) vs being an educated intern? I think the should be an investigation into why it took so long for those allegations to come to light and be acted upon.

How is it ******** can drug a girl, shove her in his trunk, take her to the ANF and dump her off and nothing comes of it. Dr. ******* is driving in a car getting a sexual favor, wrecks his car, nothing comes of that. All the other Dr. that have done "things" it is all sweep under the rug. So if they are going to make this a witch hunt and go through BRMC records then why don't they open a can of whoop ass and go after all of them. WHY??? we won't have any Dr. left in Bradford!!!
Something else that's been bothering me is this: Did you ever think that when the woman went to police in 2012 she was the FIRST one to make a complaint and the police were waiting for someone else to come to them before they filed charges? The intern gave them a reason to file. I think both women are vry brave for coming forward.
As for those of you that must bring up the dr that "raped, drugged and dumped that girl" that's insane. You all say you know for a fact......really? Because if you actually disclose all of it, you will note that she actually called the cops and said she was fine.
