Man in SUV Approached Teenage Girl

(News Release) On April 9, 2014 at approximately 3:54PM a female youth was walking on Bennett State Road near the Silver Creek Central School. At this time the female youth was asked by a motorist if she would like a ride. The female youth did not enter the vehicle and continued walking away from the suspicious vehicle. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s patrol units arrived on scene shortly after and checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle. The motorist is described as 50-60 years old, wearing glasses with white hair with a mustache and having an average build. The vehicle is described as being a dark green SUV/Jeep style vehicle. The purpose of this media release is to caution the public of the described vehicle/individual. Please contact the Sheriff's Office or your local police department if suspicious activity is observed.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
