Roadwork Starts Tuesday on Route 46

Roadwork on Route 46 in Cameron County near the McKean County line is expected to cause some traffic delays.

Work will start Tuesday to excavate existing road on a northern section of Route 46 in Shippen Township. Through mid-June, the road will be rebuilt and a new guiderail will be installed. All work is weather-dependent.

The work will be going on 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Flaggers will be controlling the alternating traffic pattern along the mile-long work zone.

PennDOT is advising motorists to watch for slow-moving and stopped vehicles in the work zone.
