Accused Burglar Waives Hearing

The Kane man allegedly caught in the act of breaking into a house has waived his preliminary hearing and is now out of jail.

Police say 30-year-old Jamie Bard was caught trying to break into a Welsh Street home in the borough on Sunday.

He’s charged with burglary, criminal mischief and loitering and prowling at nighttime. Bard had been in McKean County Jail but all parties agreed today that he could be released on $50,000 unsecured bail.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
