PSP: Man Shot Gun at Pickup Truck

After firing a gun at a pickup truck early Friday morning, a Smethport man is spending the rest of his holiday weekend in McKean County Jail.

Police say 40-year-old Damin Parris was drunk when he shot the truck in the yard of a West Valley Road home at around 2 a.m. The victims, a Smethport woman and Emporium man, left the scene and called police about an hour later.

Parris is charged with a felony count of aggravated assault, along with simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief. District Judge Bill Todd set his bail at $100,000.

A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child. Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
