Still Time to Register for Triathlon


There is still time to register for the Willow Creek Triathlon.

Registrations will be accepted from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Bradford Family YMCA where particpants can also pick up their registration packets.

Those interested may also register starting at 7 a.m. Saturday at Quaker Lake in Allegany State Park. A rules meeting will be held at 9 a.m.; the triathlon will start at 9:30 a.m. This year, the committee added a duathlon element to the event. The duathlon features the bicycling and running facets and eliminates the swimming.

The cost is $50 for individuals; $90 for teams.

All proceeds benefit the Disabled American Veterans of McKean and Warren counties.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Cops: Man Had Sex with 13-Year-Old

A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
