Underage Party Leads to Arrest

A fight at an underage drinking party has led to charges against an Olean man.

Sheriff’s deputies say 20-year-old Jared Mitchell hit another person in the mouth causing an injury during the party on McDuffy Road back on June 14.

Mitchell is charged with assault and is scheduled to be in Town of Olean Court next month.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
