Man Charged for Stealing Can of Pop

From the “Seriously? You called state police for this?” file: A 19-year-old is facing charges for stealing a can of pop.

Troopers say Bradley Barnard of Byron, New York, took the beverage from the cafeteria lunch line at Genesee Community College and put it in his backpack. A review of surveillance video confirmed the theft.

Barnard was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Batavia Court.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
