Convicted Sex Offender Behind Bars Again

A level three sex offender is back behind bars after allegedly being too close to a school in Dunkirk Wednesday afternoon.

Police say 66-year-old Richard Conti was on a street corner watching students leave Dunkirk Middle School when there is a valid order of protection against him, saying he is not allowed within 150 feet of any school.

Back in 2002 he was convicted of sexually abusing three children – ages 5, 6 and 8 – in 2001.

He’s being held without bail.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Cops: Man Had Sex with 13-Year-Old

A Derrick City man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. 19-year-old Richie Cromley is charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal solicitation on a computer of a sex act with a child.
