    I started watching “Pam & Tommy” because I love Lily James and will watch her in just about anything. I'm not sure I would have watched it, though, had I known Pamela Anderson was not on board. (My bad. I should have done the research.) Three episodes in, and my negative feelings about Tommy Lee have grown stronger and I've developed a few more. Although, so far, Sebastian Stan is playing him as mostly fun-loving and love-struck he still comes off as a disgusting pig as far as I'm concerned. In episode two he has a conversation with his legendary **** about falling in love with Pam. Rather than being funny, it was disturbing when the **** talked to him (and moved) and reminded him about Heather (Locklear) and others who he also thought were his true loves. Cast & Crew of BLT's "Beanstalk! The Play!"  Community theater has so many benefits it's almost impossible to name them all. One that I never really thought about until last week was how being around creative people encourages creativity in oneself. In Bradford Little Theatre's production of “Beanstalk! The Play!” I was Alex the Skunk Merchant. I didn't think about Alex's backstory (like I did for the previous character I played – Aunt Rose in “Inlaws Outlaws and Other People That Should be Shot”) until the person playing the giant asked me where my skunks come from. Good question. My off-the-top-of-my-head answer: I send my Skunk Squad out into the Enchanted Forest every night to get the number of skunks we need to have at the market the next day. It's usually only one or two because skunks can be quite unruly if there are too many of them. Join us for this special screening of Otto Preminger's "Carmen Jones." Based on Oscar Hammerstein's 1943 stage musical, "Carmen Jones" was adapted from Georges Bizet's opera "Carmen." Leading lady Dorothy Dandridge was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in this ground-breaking film featuring an all-Black cast. This event is presented in honor of African American History Month. (Marilyn Horne did the singing for Dandridge.)  

Grease will be performed in the Port Allegany High School Auditorium on May 12, 13, and 14. This will be the first spring musical since 2019.

 I watched the next episode of "How I Met Your Father" and the next two episodes of "As We See It." Both shows still get a thumbs up from me. "HIMYF" is cute and the characters are likable and relatable. It's not groundbreaking or anywhere even close to that, but if you just want to be entertained and not think about the world for half an hour, it's good. "As We See It" keeps getting better. I started out liking Violet and Mandy the best. Now I can't pick a favorite. They are all great, and for different reasons, and I have a variety of feelings for all of them. I'm definitely hooked on this one. I'm going to try to watch just one episode at a time now so I'll be able to look forward to it for a little while longer. Also, that'll be less time to wait for Season 2, if it's renewed.

 

 I wish I hadn't started Amazon's new series “As We See It” on a night I didn't have time to binge because I most certainly would have kept going beyond the second episode. The show centers on three 20-something roommates who are on the autism spectrum and their aide who are all try to navigate the world amidst its many challenges, some bigger and more complex than others, relatively speaking. One of the things I like best about the show is that the three main characters are played by actors who actually are on the spectrum. So far my favorite roommate is Violet (Sue Ann Pien), who works at Arby's, wants a boyfriend and has no filter. As she's working the counter at Arby's she propositions a customer (it's all innocent and honest as far as Violet knows), resulting in a tirade by he customer's wife and a demotion for Violet to sandwich technician.   Facebook photo (CNN) Louie Anderson, an Emmy winner whose career spanned from stand-up and game show host to starring roles in TV and film, died Friday in Las Vegas from complications related to cancer, his publicist Glenn Schwartz confirmed to CNN. He was 68.   On Thursday his friend, fellow comedian Pauly Shore, tweeted that he had said his goodbyes to Anderson and asked for prayers for the ill star.
