Homicide and assault charges against a Johnsonburg man were bound to court today following a hearing in front of District Judge Tony King. 22-year-old Nicholas Martin is accused of stabbing 18-year-old Alyssa Forsyth of Ridgway with a screwdriver repeatedly, then wrapping her body up and dumping it in a swampy area of Sandy Beach Park. A Johnsonburg man has been charged with criminal homicide for killing a teenager in the borough. 22-year-old Nicholas Martin is accused of killing 18-year-old Alyssa Forsyth in Johnsonburg, but police actually found the body in Ridgway. Police say a tip led them to Forsyth’s body. Besides criminal homicide, Martin is charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, as well as abuse of a corpse. He is in Elk County Jail without bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 3 in front of District Judge Tony King. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
