James C. Carter, 62, of 183 Constitution Ave Bradford, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 surrounded by his loving family, at his residence. Born November 4, 1950 in Wilmington, Del he was a son of the late James H. and Gloria G. (Sockwell) Carter. He was a 1969 graduate of Brown Tech High School and later graduated for Delaware Tech with an Electrical Engineering Degree. On February 2, 1972, he married Roberta L. (Stidd) Carter who survives. He was employed as the Director of Environmental Services at the Crothall Services Group in Delaware and later at the Bradford Hospital. He was formerly the manager of Togi's Family Restaurant. He had been employed as District Manager for the Prudential Insurance Company. He returned to Delaware and the Crothall Group and retired as Director of Environmental Services at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Patricia Ann Petruney, 81, formerly of 64 Gregory Ave. passed away Monday, July 2nd, 2012 at The Pavilion at BRMC. Born April 2, 1931 in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Patrick and Genevieve (O'Neil) Sullivan. On February 23, 1952 in Bradford she married George B. Petruney, who died on March 20, 1991. She had been employed as a teachers aid for the Bradford Area School District for many years. Mrs. Petruney had been a volunteer for the Bradford Hospital Auxiliary and delivered mail within the hospital. She loved to knit and was a member of several knitting groups. She was an avid golfer and a member of Pine Acres Golf Club. Surviving are three sons Craig Petruney, of Bradford, Kirk Petruney of Pennsylvania and George Petruney of Connecticut, 3 grandchildren 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
