Clarion County will be getting $500,000 in federal funding for a project that will enhance communications during emergency situations. Clarion County will work in partnership with the Northwest Central Emergency Response Group, which consists of Clarion, McKean, Cameron, Clearfield, Elk and Jefferson counties. The purpose of the project is promoting seamless interoperability capabilities among counties, hospitals, and regional, state and federal agencies. Also, the Area Transportation Authority of North Central PA will receive $360,000 to replace public transit vehicles in McKean, Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Jefferson and Potter counties. And, Charles Cole Memorial Hospital and Elk Regional Health Center will each receive $100,000 in federal funding.
