A man who fired several rounds from a shotgun while yelling threats, was later found to be driving with a blood alcohol content nearly 3 times the legal limit. State police say 50-year-old Michael Czarnecki of Delevan, New York, was trespassing, and the owner told him to leave, which he did. But, he came back later, fired the gun, yelled the threats, and then left again. State police found him with the gun, and soon learned his blood alcohol contest was .23 percent. Czarnecki is charged with reckless endangerment, trespassing and aggravated DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in Town of Yorkshire Court. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947

A Cattaraugus County woman is facing theft and fraud charged after taking thousands of dollars from acquaintances. State troopers say 54-year-old Susan McKay of Delevan acquired more than $100,000 from various acquaintances over a period of 2 to 3 years, and did it under false pretenses. Police did not elaborate. A fight between two men in Cattaraugus County has led to charges against one of the men. Police say 38-year-old Paul Stender of Delevan got into a fight with the other man and then, when the victim tried to leave, Stender choked him and ripped his sweatshirt. Stender is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, harassment and criminal mischief. He will face the charges in Town of Yorkshire Court. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947

State police have a arrested a Cattaraugus County man for a bank robbery that happened in 2011. 33-year-old William Delaney of Deleven is charged in connection to the robbery of the M&T Bank in the Village of Delevan on June 3, 2011. Police picked up a prowler at the Delevan Garden Apartments earlier this month. Troopers say they got a call about a man trying to break into one of the apartments and subsequently arrested 31-year-old Jacob Offhaus of Delevan for burglary and criminal mischief. A mother and daughter from Cattaraugus County are among the people arrested by the Wyoming County, New York, Drug Task Force after being indicted by a grand jury. 36-year-old Lorraine Whiting of Delevan is charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance for allegedly selling Xanax and hydrocodone in March and April of this year in Arcade. Her mother, 53-year-orld Debra Hamilton of Franklinville, is accused of selling 10 hydrocodone pills with her daughter in April in the Village of Arcade.
