Share 'Insider's View' of Prison Reform at UPB
Fran Flood, a former CEO who served federal time for white-collar crime, will give a talk titled “From Corporate Suite to Federal Prison: An Insider’s View of the American Criminal Justice System” next week. The presentation will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30 in the Lester and Barbara Rice auditorium in Fisher Hall. There will be a question-and-answer session following the formal presentation. Flood has worked in corporate America holding a variety of positions, including president and chief executive officer of several corporations. She was also the founder of various companies. In addition, she has been a lecturer in worldwide venues receiving several awards, including the Entrepreneur of the Year award. After resigning as CEO of ClearOne Communications in 2003, she earned a master’s in theology and has served domestic violence and hospice communities. She is currently completing her doctorate in pastoral community counseling and working on several books. ...
