The First Wesleyan Church of Bradford will be giving away 50 free movie tickets to this Monday’s showing of the film “Heaven is for Real” at the Bradford Main Street Movie House at 5:30 p.m. The tickets will be given away to the first 50 people to show up to see the film. The inspirational movie “Heaven is for Real” is the story of 3-year-old Colton Burpo who died and went to Heaven. Upon his return he tells is parents of his experiences and of meeting relatives that he had no knowledge of. This event is part of the First Wesleyan Church’s outreach program to get people to start thinking about God, Heaven, and religion in general. Main Street Movie House owner Todd Hennard worked with the First Wesleyan Church to bring the Film “God's Not Dead to the theater a few weeks ago. (News Release) Inspired by the hit TV show “Duck Dynasty”, The First Wesleyan Church of Bradford will be holding a Camo Sunday at 11 a.m. on December 1 in the church at 692 South Kendall Ave. Camo Sunday is a day when hunters, “Duck Dynasty” fans, and the general public come to church wearing their camouflage clothing. Pastor Chris Terbush thought it would be a great idea to have a Camo Sunday with this region big into hunting and fishing. Terbush is also planning a special sermon for this event. The First Wesleyan Church of Bradford handed out $1,000 in cash in increments of $10 each to area residents this Christmas Season. On Thursday members of the church handed out $500 in cash at the Save-A-Lot grocery store in Bradford. On Friday church members concluded their giving at the Big Lots store at the Bradford Mall. The $1,000 in cash is being given away by the First Wesleyan Church’s Positive Thinking Connection Group as part of their continuing efforts to bring Christ, Community, and Church together.
