After a week during which he won two games with buzzer-beating shots, St. Bonaventure junior guard Marcus Posley has earned multiple Player of the Week honors. Posley's remarkable performances caught the attention of the national media. He was named national Player of the Week by ESPN college basketball reporter Andy Katz as part of his weekly "3-Point Shot" segment on ESPN.com. Posley was also named national Player of the Week by CBSsports.com college basketball insider Gary Parrish and "Mr. Big Shot" by USA Today writer Scott Gleeson. He also was selected SB Nation Mid-Major Madness Player of the Week. In addition, Posley was selected the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week and the Big 4 Player of the Week. ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — If you're going to the big dance, you might as well have a party first. To celebrate the greatest season in St. Bonaventure women's basketball history, the campus and Greater Olean communities are invited to an NCAA Selection Show Party Monday night at Bob Lanier Court in the Reilly Center. Admission is free. "Coach Crowley and the team have been so grateful for the outpouring of community support for the team that they hope as many people as possible can attend to share in this remarkable moment of achievement with them," said Sr. Margaret Carney, O.S.F., university president. Doors to the event open at 6:15 p.m., with pre-ESPN festivities — including season highlight videos and player introductions — to begin about 6:40. The St. Bonaventure Women's basketball team is ranked #25 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll that came out this afternoon. This is the first time in program history the Bonnies have been ranked in this poll. Yesterday, they moved up to #22 in The AP's weekly poll.
