Bradford Police Officers Recognized

Also during Tuesday's Bradford City Council meeting, Mayor Tom Riel read a letter from Corporal Robert Klinger, acting commander of the Kane-based State Police, who commended Lt. Steve Caskey, patrolman Jason Daugherty, Greg Boser and Tony Lama for their work in helping to apprehend Brian Uber, who is accused of stealing a vehicle and taking police on a high-speed chase from Coleville to Bradford. Klinger wrote, "It is encouraging to work with such a fine group of officers, and their actions reflect highly upon themselves and the Bradford City Police Department." Close commended the officers for representing the police department in a positive and professional manner.

Also Tuesday, Riel called for a moment of silence to commemorate Police Memorial Week in the Commonwealth.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
