Part of PA Town Evacuated

Parts of Wind Gap, PA, have been evacuated after an accident involving a tractor-trailer carrying hazardous materials.

Authorities say the rig was carrying a "dangerous chemical" and there was a potential threat.

Everyone within a one-mile radius of the accident has been evacuated. A shelter has been set up at a local high school.

Wind Gap, about 60 miles north of Philadelphia, has a population of about 2,800.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
