UV Awareness Day at Pavillion Next Week

The Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center is hosting a free Ultraviolet (UV) Awareness Day. The event is in observance of National UV Awareness Month.

The UV Awareness Day will be held Friday, July 30 from noon to 2:00 p.m. in The Pavilion’s lobby located at 200 Pleasant Street. Informational literature, displays, skin cancer detection photographs and a free prize drawing for a basket of skin protection items will be offered.

Ultraviolet radiation from the sun causes sunburn and other health effects, including skin cancer and cataracts. The Pavilion’s goal is to provide preventive information to protect the public from over exposure to the sun.

No reservations are required. For more information about this event, call (814)362-8293.
