St. Marys Women Hurt in Collision

Two St. Marys women were hurt when their car collided with a tractor trailer at 1 o’clock this afternoon on Route 255 near Elk Regional Health Center.

St. Marys Police say 64-year-old Garvase Flutur of Ontario, Canada, was driving the tractor-trailer north when a southbound car driven by 41-year-old Melissa Salter entered the northbound lane and the vehicles collided.

Salter was flown by STAT Medivac helicopter to Hamot Medical Center. Her passenger, 40-year-old Amy Courteau was taken to Elk Regional. Flutur was not hurt.

Police are continuing their investigation.
