Driver Not Hurt in One-Car Crash

A St. Marys woman escaped injury in a one-car crash at 3:15 this morning on Route 120 just east of Beechwood Road in Shippen Township in Cameron County.

State police say a car driven by 24-year-old Heather Penfield went out of control on the snow-covered road and hit a utility pole.

Police say Penfield was wearing a seatbelt. She will be cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
